What does this mean for a molder?
The message at the fair was total cost of operation rather than machine tonnage: the energy use and space needs of auxiliaries such as drying, conveying, temperature control and robots are moving to the foreground in purchasing decisions. When choosing auxiliaries, looking at their power consumption and line layout as well as the machine itself can make a difference in annual cost. For drying discipline see our raw material drying guide.
