Saytek enters Fortune 500 Türkiye at number 373: the Hayrabolu rPET plant and a 2028 target
Saytek, which makes rPET, rPE and rPP from plastic waste, grew its 2025 revenue by 242.5% to 8.98 billion lira; its third recycling plant in Hayrabolu, Tekirdağ, will process 20,000 tonnes a year in the first phase.

Saytek, which works in plastic waste recycling, health and energy, entered the Fortune 500 Türkiye 2025 list for the first time at number 373. It ranked 7th in the medical and pharmaceutical sector and 56th in Ankara. In 2025 net sales rose 242.5% to 8.977 billion lira, making it 5th among the companies with the largest sales gains. It sells to more than 20 countries, including Austria, Romania, France, Portugal and Italy.
On the recycling side, the key development is the plant in Hayrabolu, Tekirdağ. Saytek bought the rPET plant owned by Kaptan Holding; with 35,000 m² of open and 13,000 m² of enclosed space, it is the company's third recycling factory commissioned this year. According to an Enerji Bülteni report of 20 April 2026, the plant:
- will start at 20,000 tonnes a year in the first phase,
- is expected to provide about 100 jobs,
- will produce rPET, rPE and rPP, with a focus on food-contact rPET.
The company will also build an rPET sheet and food packaging plant in Konya Kulu OSB, with completion targeted for 2028.

What does this mean for a molder?
Domestic rPE and rPP production may become a new supply source for molders looking for recycled raw material. However, the melt flow and colour consistency of recycled pellets can vary from batch to batch, so run a trial and check drying before use. For drying, see our raw material drying guide.
