Engel expects about 10% revenue growth for 2026/27: "An upswing, but no trend reversal"
Austrian injection molding machine maker Engel forecasts revenue of about 1.55 billion euros in the new financial year; growth comes from North America and India, while China and European automotive remain weak.

Austrian injection molding machine maker Engel expects revenue of about 1.55 billion euros for the 2026/27 financial year, roughly 10% more than the previous year. Even so, the company does not expect a broad recovery in the injection molding machine market. Engel Group CEO Stefan Engleder summed it up: "We see an upswing, but no trend reversal."
By region and sector:
- North America: Business is developing positively. In the US, catch-up investment, reshoring of production and data centre expansion are creating new projects.
- India: Demand is picking up strongly again.
- Europe: Inquiries are increasingly turning into first orders, mostly from small and mid-sized companies replacing old machines.
- China: Conditions remain difficult because of weak automotive demand, overcapacity and intense price competition.
- Sectors: Medical technology is stable; packaging shows rising demand for energy-efficient all-electric machines; the European automotive industry lags behind other sectors.
What does this mean for a molder?
The start of "replace the old machine" orders in Europe shows that companies Turkish molders compete with are investing in energy efficiency.
