Hot-runner maker Mold-Masters won the Injection Molding category Innovation Award at Fakuma 2026 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, with its new Dexa side-gate system.
Conventional side-gate systems use a single heat zone for a group of up to eight cavities, so adjusting temperature to improve one part's quality affects the others in the group. Dexa instead gives each cavity's tip its own individual heat control, enabling cavity-specific process optimization and balancing for high-cavitation and medical applications. Its Speed-Lok center-bolt design also simplifies maintenance and reduces downtime.
